Senior Retail Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Retail Leader to join our team in Germany. As a key member of our sales leadership, you will be responsible for accelerating our mass retail channel strategy and delivering exceptional results.

Job Description:

The Commercial Director is a critical role that involves driving business growth through effective leadership, strategic planning, and execution. You will lead a team of National Account Managers and Key Account Executives, developing and executing differentiated strategies for each retailer, aligned with broader commercial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

* Channel Ownership: Full commercial ownership of the Grocery and Discount channels in Germany.
* Customer Strategy: Develop and execute differentiated strategies for each retailer, aligned with broader commercial goals.
* Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a team of National Account Managers and Key Account Executives.
* P & L Management: Own the sales forecast, gross margins, trade spends, promotional budgets, and revenue targets per customer.
* Negotiation Excellence: Lead annual negotiations with local and regional customers, including buying groups.
* Retailer Relationships: Build strong, trust-based partnerships with top retailer partners.
* Contribute to wider Germany sales success as a key member of the leadership team, undertaking wider leadership projects, deputizing for the Senior Sales Director as required.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

* An outstanding track record of success in sales (Mass and/or Discount channel is ideal, but not mandatory) with a minimum of 8-10 years' experience at senior leadership level.
* Strong track record in negotiations, listing wins, trade spend management, and market share growth.
* Demonstrated success in both strategic planning and perfect execution.
* Proven experiences with people development.
* International experiences will be an advantage.
