What you will do Lead and contribute to the development and maturation of GaN technology platforms Identify and implement novel technology concepts to enhance device performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness Collaborate with cross-functional teams including epitaxy, process engineering, layout, and simulation to optimize technology architecture Define and support the development of test structures and methodologies for in-depth technology characterization and reliability assessment Analyze experimental data, extract key insights, and deliver concise technical summaries to guide technology roadmap decisions Work closely with internal and external R&D and manufacturing partners to accelerate technology transfer and industrialization Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing within a global, multicultural team environment Own assigned program roadmap, consolidating required information and reviewing quality aspects, among others Monitor / track value engineering activities What you will need PhD in Experimental Physics, Electronics Engineering, or a similar discipline Minimum 5 years of demonstrated working experience in power semiconductor technology, preferably GaN development in industrial environment In-depth knowledge of power semiconductor devices, ideally wide band gap GaN HEMTs Initial experience in power semiconductor product development, ideally wide band gap GaN HEMTs, gained within an industrial setting Ability to communicate complex concepts and requirements clearly and to influence stakeholders at all levels Team player with a strong drive to achieve success Fluency in English, conversational German is desirable Good communication skills, both verbal and in writing Willingness to travel occasionally Talent acquisition based on Nexperia vacancies is not appreciated.
