Sachbearb. (Logistik) Kaiserslautern, Germany Ausschreibungsbereich WHO MAY APPLY? Current INTERNAL Local National Employees throughout Germany. This covers all current Local National employees of the U.S. Forces in Germany, including U.S. Air Force and AAFES-Europe within Germany. AND EXTERNAL Local National Applicants, who reside in Germany. Hauptaufgaben The primary purpose for this job is to serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Directorate of Logistics Operations of the Theater Logistics Support Center-Europe/Africa (TLSC-E/A), which includes evaluating, developing, planning, coordinating and documenting processes of Maintenance, Supply, Transportation and Ammunition Management operations. Participates in and assists with developing and coordinating logistics, supply and maintenance operations involving repair, storage, and accountability of major weapon systems, complex combat service support equipment, and retail to wholesale supply interface. Provides standard, readily available information to serviced activities on logistics STAMIS interfaces to professional databases, use of business spreadsheets, and the automated operating systems sustaining the repair, receipt, storage, and issue of such systems. Participates in and assists with developing databases to support and measure production goals, supply performance, forecast of requirements, and efficiency of the TLSC-E/A's subordinate organizations. Participates in and assists with developing, coordinating, and documenting industry standard spreadsheets and professional databases which establish metrics and provide analysis of GS Supply and transportation, supply and maintenance processes. The documentation is used by maintenance managers in the decision making process of various programs regarding maintenance forecasting, workload maintenance, exception management, repair times, maximizing repair capability, and cost reduction. The documentation is further used by supply managers in the decision making process regarding space management, inventory management, volume and timeliness of customer support, order ship time and logistics pipeline cost enabling the accomplishment of planned and scheduled goals in sustaining the Theater's requirement for critical components and end item general support maintenance. Participates in and assists with preparation and subsequent delivery of briefings to internal and external recipients. Participates in internal reviews, audits and command inspections. Performs other duties as assigned. Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below. E&T Level II: 1 years of creditable experience as defined in A below PLUS 3 years of experience as defined in B below. E&T Level III: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in B below. E&T Level IV: 1 year of creditable experience as defined in B below. E&T Level V: No additional experience required. Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade. Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc. Experience B: Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled. The amount of the higher level experience must be in a reasonable relation to the required total number of years. • Applicants must be in possession of a German driver's license class B and be able to obtain and maintain a military driver's license. • Office automation skills are required. This includes work performed to complete a short-term special assignment or to accommodate special circumstances. • If requirement exists, the incumbent of this position is obligated to perform TDY within and outside Germany, shift work, weekend and holiday work.
