Alithea’s main area of activity is the study of HLA-bound peptides by high sensitivity high resolution mass spectrometry (immunopeptidomics). The role of the mass spectrometry scientist (F, M, D) will be to take responsibility over Alithea’s LC/MS equipment, develop PRM assays and maintain high quality performance through QC/QA procedures. Place of work is our laboratory in Berlin Buch.
Your role: Maintaining LC/MS hardware, cleaning ion optics, changing columns and repair MS and LC equipment as needed Develop and maintain QA/QC procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards Develop novel PRM assays for absolute quantification of peptide targets with synthetic peptides Evaluate new technologies and instruments to enhance our analytical capabilities, to improve workflow efficiency and outline a fit-for-future plan of the laboratory Analyse MS data to be included in reports for customers and present to internal stakeholders
Your profile: You have experience maintaining mass spectrometers and LC systems You are experienced in MS method development and data analysis, ideally using PRM You are passionate to support drug development efforts, immunopeptidomics experience is a plus You have experience implementing and working in ISO and/or GxP certified environments You have an analytical mindset, think out of the box and you are always challenging status quo You are independent and self-organized, experience with agile working methods a plus You are fluent in English, German is a plus
