We are an international, interdisciplinary team that is powering the next generation of precision medicine and advancing the fields of AI and pathology.
Why us
Aignostics is a spin-off from one of Europe’s largest and most prestigious university hospitals (Charité), with employees in Berlin and New York. We have received over $55M in funding from leading investors and are a growing team of over 120 interdisciplinary professionals. We work with leading global life sciences companies as well as academic partners.
We believe that AI has the potential to revolutionize how cancer and other complex diseases are diagnosed and treated. Without access to high quality data and a scientifically rigorous, transparent approach to model development, AI is just a buzzword. That’s where we come in.
The Role
Own our omics data modalities and enforce highest scientific standards across multiple teams. You'll work on the next generation of anti-cancer drug discovery and aid translational research projects in processing and interpreting results from omics data. You work within the data science area and collaborate with ML researchers, biological scientists, and engineers to generate findings that improve the standard of care tomorrow.
What we are looking for
* Ph.D. or MSc. in computational Biology/Bioinformatics and a proven track record of publications
* Passion for highest scientific standards and in-depth knowledge of cancer biology and computational oncology
* 3+ years of relevant experience in industry settings, either biotech or pharmaceutical industry
* Advanced skills in Python and R, ability to prototype analyses and solutions effectively
* Broad multi-omics expertise including scRNAseq, spatial transcriptomics, CRISPR, proteomics and deep knowledge of statistical analyses
* Excellent communication for broad audiences, teamwork, and data visualization skills
Ideally, you also have
* Familiarity with fundamental machine learning concepts
* Experience with multimodal machine learning
* Familiarity with cloud infrastructures (AWS, GCP)
Where you can show your impact
* Own our various *omics data processing pipelines within our code ecosystem, continuously improving and harmonizing them. Contribute to developing Python-based pipelines for processing proteomic, genomic, transcriptomic, and epigenetic data at large scale
* Consult our drug discovery and translational research teams in best practices, feasibility of computational Biology analyses, and presentation of biological data
* Elevate insights from machine learning models into concrete biological hypotheses that you validate in-silico, leveraging public and proprietary data sources
* Educate and mentor team members on latest advances in the field and continue to be up to date on advances in computational Biology methodology for oncology research
Our offer
