Position Overview
As a Project Sourcing Manager for the Battery Solutions business, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing global sourcing and purchasing strategies for direct commodities.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
1. Lead the selection, assessment, and strategic evaluation of suppliers within assigned material categories.
2. Analyze market and supplier data, profile material fields, and define optimal sourcing strategies, including supplier selection and negotiations on pricing, terms, and conditions, to maximize profitability and business performance.
3. Own supplier management activities including supplier selection, performance monitoring and communication, supplier evaluations, strategic supplier classification, and supplier development to ensure a robust and optimized supply chain.
4. Prepare, negotiate, and conclude sourcing contracts in line with business requirements, securing the most favorable commercial conditions while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
5. Identify procurement-related risks, opportunities, and market dynamics, and proactively address them through effective risk and change management approaches.
6. Drive continuous improvement of purchasing processes in close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, including project management, engineering, and tax compliance teams.
7. Initiate and lead targeted procurement and cost-engineering initiatives in cooperation with solution specialists, focusing on product standardization and simplification.
8. Provide hands-on operational procurement support, including the creation, review, and release of purchase orders as required.
9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the EV battery testing industry, emerging technologies, and procurement best practices.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
10. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Purchasing or a related field.
11. Minimum of years of experience in a strategic procurement role within a multinational organization.
12. years of experience in automotive industry and/or a related supplier environment.
13. Proven experience managing complex projects with a strong understanding of change management principles.
14. Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and German.
15. Strong ability to influence stakeholders, build sustainable relationships, and drive solutions with or without direct authority.
16. Demonstrated expertise in supplier performance management.
17. Solid knowledge of procurement systems, tools, and processes.
18. Strong negotiation skills with proven experience in managing complex contracts in dynamic supply environments.
19. Basic knowledge of automotive testing components, particularly batteries and inverters, is an advantage.
