Description:
This position will be responsible for the Research & Development (R&D) and prototyping of automation systems like robots, switchboxes, and software tools to enable automations in the Service Department for worldwide use in Tektronix.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct R&D on lab and business automation tools.
* Build prototypes.
* Maintain detailed action plans with strict deadlines.
* Support worldwide labs/teams on developed automation.
* Create and maintain build documentation of the tools.
* Develop training material and provide training to lab end-users.
* Support 3rd party factories that build the final products.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree.
* 2-4 years of experience in an R&D environment.
* Experience with 3D printing and CAD/CAM.
* Proficiency in Python and other frequently used programming languages.
* Knowledge of Arduino is essential.
* Electronics background.
* Metcal programming is a plus but can be acquired on the job.
* Degree in Mechatronics is a must.
