As a Senior Stress Engineer, you lead structural analysis activities across in‑service support and upgrade projects. You assess metallic and composite structures, develop analysis methods and compliance strategies, guide internal and external teams, and contribute to certification of major aircraft programmes.
* Lead and instruct complex stress tasks for in‑service fleet maintenance and upgrade projects
* Perform and sign off structural analysis as part of the drawing and data release process
* Define specifications and Means of Compliance for structural analysis
* Develop and propose program code routines for analysis tools (e.g. FEM pre‑/post‑processing, automated calculations, digital data processes)
* Plan activities according to programme deliverables and milestones
* Improve, define and adapt stress and F&DT (Fatigue & Damage Tolerance) methods for metallic and composite structures (hand calculations and FEM)
* Lead compilation of stress and F&DT analysis reports and certification documentation in accordance with CS/JAR/FAR Part 23/25/27/29
* Assess and justify production non‑conformities (concessions)
* Provide technical leadership, mentoring and knowledge transfer within the team
Profil
* Educated to Master’s degree (MA Eng/Sc) or PhD in Aeronautics/Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
* 10+ years of professional experience in structural analysis across multiple aircraft development phases
* Recognized expertise in stress, fatigue & damage tolerance for metallic and composite structures
* Strong proficiency with airframe certification requirements, design criteria, materials, methods and tools
* Experience in new aircraft development (ideally CS‑25)
* Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills
* Analytical, structured and solution‑oriented mindset
* Experience in people development / mentoring
* Team player with the ability to lead internal and external work packages
