The client is a growing, international financial services company.
Job Description
* Development and execution of the organization's cybersecurity strategy, with a clear focus on protecting digital systems, networks, and infrastructure from cyber threats
* Continuous monitoring, maintenance, and enhancement of the IT cybersecurity systems to ensure resilience against cyberattacks
* Coordination and leadership of cybersecurity initiatives and projects, including threat prevention, detection, and response capabilities
* Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure adherence to cybersecurity standards, frameworks, and best practices
* Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements specific to cybersecurity in the financial services sector
* Management of cybersecurity team
* Evaluation and implementation of emerging technologies to strengthen cybersecurity posture and defense mechanisms
* Reporting to executive management on the organization's cybersecurity posture, risk landscape, and strategic initiatives
The Successful Applicant
* Degree in Computer Science, IT Security / cybersecurity, or a related field
* Extensive experience in cybersecurity strategy, ideally in the financial services sector
* Proven experience leading cybersecurity teams
* Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the financial industry
* Ability to design and implement modern, scalable security solutions
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
* Excellent communication skills across technical and executive stakeholders
* Required technical expertise and depth in as many of these as possible: IAM (Okta / Delinea), DLP (Purview / Varonis), PAM (BeyondTrust, CyberArk), SIEM (Splunk), XDR (Microsoft Defender XDR, Azure Arc), Vulnerability Scanning
* Based in Frankfurt Region or is willing to move to Frankfurt
* Fluent English, German nice to have
