Deutsche Bank's Corporate Bank (CB) addresses the needs of corporate clients, financial institutions, investors, and issuers in three segments: Corporate Treasury Services, Institutional Client Services, and Business Banking. The Head of Strategy & Growth Office is responsible for formulating, executing, and communicating the strategy of Corporate Bank and includes: the ongoing strategic dialogue across the franchise on strategic approaches and external partnership assessment, overseeing Mergers and Acquisitions, company research, valuation analysis, and competitor benchmarking.
Your key responsibilities
* Responsible for a variety of teams focusing on Corporate Bank's Strategy, Business Development / Corporate Venture Capital, and the implementation of our multi-year Growth Plan.
* Manages the office of the Corporate Bank Head including Executive Committee governance and preparation of internal & external executive meetings, townhalls, as well as communication and leadership events.
* Drives Corporate Bank strategy development and execution including front to back alignment with other offices on Supervisory Board and Management Board asks, regulatory or rating agency meetings.
* Corporate Bank specific assessments on industry developments (e.g., AI, digital assets), competitor analysis (e.g., analyst reports, investor days), and third-party insights.
* Governs Corporate Bank's portfolio of direct investments including buy & exit decisions and execution.
Your skills and experiences
* Experienced leader with the ability to think big, inspire and enthuse, generate team commitment, create a trusting culture of working, making mistakes and learning while delivering outstanding business results.
* Excellent understanding of Corporate Banking businesses e.g., Cash Management, Trade Finance & Lending, Trust & Agency Services, Securities Services.
* Exceptional collaboration and communication skills in a multidisciplinary environment including Product Management, Client Coverage, and Tech/Engineering.
* Ability to convince senior stakeholders, articulating and defending key decisions.
* Strong strategic and problem-solving skills in a large, complex, and regulated corporate environment.
