About Our Research
The human microbiome is a vast reservoir of genes, including virulence factors, antimicrobial resistance genes, and biosynthetic gene clusters. Our team focuses on characterizing and validating microbiome-borne virulence factors implicated in human diseases, with a particular emphasis on cancer.
Key Responsibilities:
* We will investigate the effects of identified virulence factors using in vitro and in vivo assays.
* You will contribute to developing new methods and assays for studying virulence factor functions.
* Our team will participate in and contribute to projects related to microbiomes and cancer.
Your Contributions:
* You will collect, manage, and analyze data.
* You will present results within monthly consortium meetings and at national and international conferences.
* You will synthesize findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
This project is funded by a reputable funding agency and carried out in collaboration with several international partners.
Your Profile:
* PhD in Biological Sciences or a related field.
* Experience working with purified proteins and conducting related assays.
* Competence in molecular biology techniques such as real-time PCR, FACS analysis, and Western blotting.
