Working student: GenAI Demo Engineering & Developer Tooling (m/f/d)

We are looking for a working student (m/f/d) for 16-19 hours/week at our Dortmund location in the area of AI Innovation Hub, starting as soon as possible.
Your tasks
* Developing "Golden Demos": Building small demo UIs (e.g., with Streamlit) for typical RAG and Agent use cases.
* Creating reference backends: e.g., with FastAPI – including sample implementations for tool calling, retrieval, and source/citation logic.
* Maintaining repository templates and starter kits: structure, configuration, logging defaults, and clean error handling.
* Tooling & Automation: Development of lightweight Python utilities (validators, sanity checks, setup helpers) and simple CI checks (linting, unit tests, demo runs)
* Write short technical readme files (setup, execution, and troubleshooting) with a focus on reproducibility.
Your profile
* Enrolled in a degree program (e.g., computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics, or similar)
* Basic knowledge of Python and Git basics (Branch/PR)
* Very good German and English skills
* Structured work style and high willingness to learn
