EHS Manager / Safety Engineer – Lead Our Environmental, Health & Safety Strategy
Are you a seasoned EHS professional with a passion for semiconductor environments and a knack for building robust management systems? Do you have the necessary certification to act as a Safety Engineer and a strong command of both English and German? If so, we want you to lead our Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives!
Main Responsibilities:
As our EHS Manager, you will be the cornerstone of our safety culture and compliance:
* Establish and Maintain EHS Systems: Drive the creation of an EHS management system that is fully compliant with national and international standards (e.g., ISO 14000, OHSAS 18000) and all applicable laws.
* Ensure Compliance and Continuous Improvement: Serve as the designated Safety Engineer responsible for EHS compliance, execute tasks in accordance with German Safety Law ($\text{ASiG } \S 6$), maintain existing systems, and ensure their continuous improvement.
* Audit and Oversight: Plan and execute regular internal and external audits to verify system effectiveness and compliance.
* External Cooperation: Act as the primary point of contact and cooperate effectively with local authorities, including the Accident Insurer, safety regulatory bodies, and environmental agencies.
* Risk Management & Improvement: Guide all departments in identifying environmental, health, and safety risks. Drive the implementation of improvements, including steering risk assessments, executing safety checks, developing emergency plans, and conducting drills.
* Training & Development: Organize and deliver appropriate EHS training to all employees.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
* Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Electronics, or a related field from a University or University of Applied Science.
* Certification: The necessary certification to act as a Safety Engineer (or equivalent qualification).
* Experience: Over 5 years of professional experience in Environmental, Health & Safety management.
* Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of the semiconductor industry and experience working within a clean room environment.
* Teamwork: A proactive attitude towards cooperation and the ability to effectively participate in cross-functional, multicultural, and interdisciplinary teams.
* Language Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills in English alongside C1 level / native German language proficiency.
