What you’ll do
We are looking for an experienced SOC Manager (f/m/d) for our internal SOC to support the development of our new Security Operation Center and manage its operations.
Your tasks will be:
1. Setting up and operating the Security Operation Center (SOC)
2. Development and implementation of security strategies, guidelines and procedures in the SOC
3. Monitoring and analyzing security-related events to detecand respond to threats at an early stage
4. Leading and supporting a team of security analysts and engineers
5. Collaborate with other IT teams and business units to coordinate security measures, both proactively and reactively in the course of implementing lessons-learned measures following a security incident
6. Coordination with external stakeholders for the establishment of security measures and processes
7. Reporting to management on security incidents and trends as well as corresponding recommendations for risk mitigation
What you bring
8. Several years of experience in the area of SOC, ideally in a managerial position
9. Experience in setting up Security Operation Centers
10. Experience in managing complex and critical security incidents
11. Sound knowledge in several of the following areas: Security Monitoring, Threat Hunting, Detection Engineering, Incident Response, Incident Management, Digital Forensics, Malware Analysis, Threat Intelligence, SOC, Engineering (SIEM/SOAR, Architecture), SOC Metrics & Reporting
12. Leadership experience and the ability to motivate and effectively lead teams
13. Ideally experience in regulated organizations and environments
14. Excellent problem solving abilities and the ability to keep calm under pressure and make sound decisions
15. Strong communication skills in German and English to present complex security issues in an understandable way
16. Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment with on-call duty on weekends and public holidays
