We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Consultant/Quantity Surveyor to act as the lead and provide cost management services for ongoing commissions and projects. You will provide end-to-end cost management services from pre-construction through to handover and final account closure, ensuring the project is delivered within budget and in accordance with professional standards. Knowledge of MEP services and experience in mission critical sectors is crucial to this role.
You’ll be responsible for:
1. Managing the commercial function, safeguarding the employer’s interests and driving cost certainty across all project phases.
2. Developing robust cost plans, estimates and benchmarks, supporting value engineering and informed commercial decision‑making.
3. Managing procurement and tendering activities, ensuring competitive pricing, clear scope alignment and optimal contracting strategies.
4. Overseeing post‑contract cost control, including change management, valuations, payment reviews and contingency tracking.
5. Producing accurate financial reports, forecasts and executive summaries that support project governance.
6. Administering construction contracts, ensuring full compliance with obligations, terms and quality standards.
