Technicians work closely together with scientists and cover a large range of responsibilities that are well defined. The team leader of the technicians is responsible for defining these responsibilities and ensure the on-job personal development of this group. In this role you’ll make an impact by: Supervise, motivate, and mentor a diverse team of technicians to achieve project goals. Organize regular team meetings to communicate objectives, assign tasks, and address challenges. Manage daily operations, including equipment setup, process trials, and troubleshooting. Optimize resource utilization, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to meet deadlines. Ensure adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies. Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective measures to minimize hazards. Collaborate with scientists to execute experimental plans and prototype productions. Oversee routine maintenance and calibration of pilot plant equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, coordinating with external service providers when needed. Potentially relevant experience: Proven experience in a pilot plant, manufacturing, or process development environment. Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in a technical setting Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team. Solid understanding of pilot plant equipment and processes. Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in German and English. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
