To support this growth, the company is seeking a Business Development Manager for its Digital Engineering Services business unit, with a focus on the Insurance industry.
This business unit specialises in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance, delivering impactful digital transformation projects and business-critical software solutions.
Requirements
Key Requirements/Responsibilities:
* 8+ years of experience in business development, ideally within the Insurance sector, including both traditional insurers and Insurtechs.
* Underdentify and develop new business opportunities, building trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
* Stay informed about industry trends, attend relevant events, and engage with potential clients via social platforms like LinkedIn.
* Manage multiple sales opportunities through the full cycle, from prospecting to closing.
* Work closely with the Business Development Director while managing tasks independently.
* Contribute to compelling proposals that align with client needs.
* Collaborate on targeted campaigns with internal business development and enablement teams.
* Apply both strategic thinking and tactical execution.
Candidate Profile:
* Proven experience in the Insurance industry, particularly in business development or solution delivery.
* Background in digital transformation projects or custom software solutions.
* Understanding of near-shoring or distributed delivery models.
* Interest or experience in software engineering-related projects.
* Strong consultative approach, excellent communication, and negotiation skills.
* Fluency in both German and English, with the ability to articulate technical/functional requirements.
* Willingness to travel within and outside the EU as needed.
