Merloop is a cutting-edge Digital Product Passport (DPP) platform designed for EU-ready products. We empower brands, suppliers, and platforms to create, manage, and scale compliant product passports. Our solutions focus on traceability, interoperability, and ensuring future-proof compliance across diverse supply chains.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in the Stuttgart Region for a Chief Operating Officer (COO). The COO will oversee daily business operations, implement strategic business plans, and collaborate with various teams to enhance operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include optimizing resource allocation, analyzing financial data, developing process improvements, and ensuring overall organizational success.
We're growing fast in a space the EU is actively legislating into existence — and we need a COO who can help us scale.
This is an equity-based role. No fixed salary. You'll own a real stake in what we build together.

What you'll own
• Define and build Merloop's operational foundation — processes, systems, and workflows
• Lead customer onboarding and success — brands, suppliers, and enterprise clients
• Own our go-to-market operations — from pipeline to partnerships
• Oversee implementation of ERP, CRM, and internal tools that power our platform
• Bridge sustainability expertise with product and tech — translating real-world compliance needs into features
• Build and manage a growing team as we scale
• Represent Merloop in conversations with brands, investors, and industry partners

What you bring
• 3–6 years experience in operations, supply chain, or sustainability — ideally in SaaS
• Strong understanding of ERP/CRM systems (SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics or similar)
• Deep knowledge of sustainability certifications — GOTS, OEKO-TEX, GRS, Fairtrade, Bluesign
• Familiarity with EU sustainability regulations — ESPR, DPP, Green Claims Directive
• Entrepreneurial mindset — you've built processes from scratch before
• Strong communicator — you can talk to a sustainability manager and a software engineer in the same meeting
• Fluent in English; German is a strong plus
