Who we are
Our mission has started. We are starting our own battery cell production in Battery Valley in Salzgitter and ramping up our headquarters for global cell production. The CTO organization takes care of the battery cell development. Our responsibility includes research, predevelopment of materials and components, series development, prototyping, testing and analysis of battery cells.
Your role and key responsibilities
* Development of an innovative heat press and hi-pot test for lithium-ion battery cells
* Support of technical processes in the field of cell assembly on a pilot line scale
* Management of external partners in the development project (mechanical engineering, simulation, etc.)
* Assumption of technical responsibility to ensure individual project goals
* Evaluation and preparation of technical decision templates
The final doctoral topic will be defined together with the professor (m/f/d). The prerequisite for the cooperation is the confirmation of supervision and a confirmed definition of the topic by the professor (m/f/d) of a university or research institution entitled to award doctorates.
What you bring to the team
* Good to very good university degree with the entitlement to a doctorate in mechanical engineering, process engineering, physics or a related technical/scientific field
* Proven focus on electrical and mechanical tests during studies
* Basic knowledge of materials science or battery technology is an advantage
* Enjoyment of technical work and laboratory work
* High level of teamwork and initiative communication and cooperation skills with business partners
* Fluent in English
