Follow the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) with a focus on data-driven systems.
Analyze system flows, data usage, and end-to-end data processing workflows.
Identify data-related problem areas, optimize performance, and resolve pipeline issues.
Lead and contribute to multiple Scrum teams, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
Enforce clean, secure, and scalable data engineering best practices.
Design and implement robust data architectures for internal products and external data interfaces.
Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, transform, and load healthcare data from diverse sources.
Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance through effective data governance and management practices.
Collaborate closely with data analysts and stakeholders to deliver KPI dashboards and custom reports, leveraging BI tools.
Maintain and continuously improve data infrastructure to support performance, scalability, and reliability.
Research, evaluate, and implement new tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance data workflows and platform capabilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
~7+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or a closely related backend/data-focused role.
~ Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
~ Excellent proficiency in Python for data processing and pipeline development.
~ Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
~ Hands-on experience with data processing and orchestration frameworks such as Apache Spark, Airflow, or similar tools.
~ Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs for data integration.
~ Experience with Docker and containerized data applications.
~ Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
~ Proficiency with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Experience with healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, or DICOM.
Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations (e.g., Frontend development experience for dashboard integration or data visualization.
