We’re looking for a Senior Finance Operations Specialist for our client to take ownership of day-to-day financial operations, ensure data accuracy across systems, and help improve processes through automation. This is not a bookkeeping-focused position, as bookkeeping is handled externally. Instead, the role is about process ownership, data integrity, and building smoother financial workflows.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Take ownership of complex financial operations from start to finish, playing a key role in the monthly closing process.
* Prepare and maintain revenue and spend accruals to improve data quality across systems.
* Ensure accurate intercompany reconciliation and provide financial data for foreign entities.
* Execute monthly allocations and recharges to support faster and more reliable financial reporting.
* Reconcile data across internal dashboards and ERP systems, maintaining accuracy and consistency.
* Collaborate with external stakeholders and act as an escalation point for complex operational topics.
* Serve as a key finance contact for Managing Directors and business units.
* Identify process improvements, introduce better tools, and drive automation to reduce manual workload across teams.
REQUIREMENTS
* 5+ years of professional experience in Finance Operations, Accounting, or a similar area
* Fluent English and German (B2 German also acceptable)
* Strong experience in high-volume, tech-driven environments, ideally with a focus on scalability.
* Deep understanding of AP/AR, billing, reconciliation, accruals, and financial data flows.
* Hands-on experience with ERP systems; SAP S/4HANA experience is a strong plus.
* Proven track record of improving processes and increasing automation to reduce manual workload.
* Strong analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.
* Ability to communicate clearly with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
