What are we hiring for? This is a Part-Time opportunity at Honda of Concord. As a Service Assistant, you will be at the forefront of our customer service operations. This role is highly interactive by greeting guests upon arrival in the service drive and making them feel welcomed! You will be transporting vehicles to/from the service areas and may assist the Service Advisors in identifying and documenting auto service, maintenance, and repairs for customer vehicles.

Pay Range:

$18.50 per hour.

Schedule Requirements:

Weekly shifts between 7:00AM-7:00PM (includes Saturdays). Average 25 hours per week, candidates must be able to work the Part-Time schedule requirements on a regular basis.

Job Responsibilities:

17. Greets customers in the service drive area and assists them with the process of checking vehicle in for service.
18. Assists Service Advisor by working with customer and technician to identify required maintenance.
19. May advise customers on necessary and recommended services.
20. May offer additional services and repairs to customers.
21. Assists with moving vehicles.
22. Assists customers with reviewing documentation, processing payment, and returning keys for completed services.
23. Schedules appointments with customer.
24. Maintains CSI at or above Company standards.
25. Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
26. Participates in required training.
27. Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
28. Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
29. Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values.
30. Complies with Company policies and procedures.
31. Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
32. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Desired Work Experience:

Education/Experience:

Previous experience in automotive or customer service industries desired. Basic knowledge of the mechanical operations of vehicles. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.

Certificates and Licenses:

√ Valid Driver’s License

o Automobile Salesperson License

Computer Skills:

Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products. Ability and knowledge of the Dealership Management System and other web based applications utilized for operations.

Communication Skills:

Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.

Attendance Expectations:

The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit.

May be exposed to load noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service repair conditions.

Environment Demands:

Duties are generally performed in the service area. Responsibilities may include conducting road tests on customer vehicles. Work includes inspection of customer vehicles and frequent movement around the Service Department to convey information between customers and service technicians. Frequently interacts with customers, service manager and service technicians, and employees from various departments in the dealerships.

Verbal and Writing Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations.
