Job Description:
Our Client is looking for a experienced Lead Avionics Engineer to join their team within the space sector. As the Lead Avionics Engineer, you will be instrumental in spearheading the design and development of cutting-edge Avionics architecture for space missions. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Taking the lead in designing the Avionics architecture for space missions.
2. Defining and crafting the Avionics Architecture, encompassing initial sizing, trade-offs, Interface Budgets, and Hardware performances tailored for space applications.
3. Overseeing the avionics subsystems during detailed design and testing phases as the designated design authority.
4. Managing interface control on a physical level and across the protocol stack in the context of space missions.
5. Implementing development risk management strategies and ensuring effective mitigation.
6. Planning and overseeing test activities to guarantee mission success.
7. Efficiently resolving non-conformances to maintain project integrity.
Qualifications:
8. Possession of a degree in engineering with a specialisation in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or a related field.
9. Professional experience in the space avionics domain.
10. Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams across multiple domains
11. Proven track record in hardware projects within the phases B/C/D specific to avionics systems for space applications.
12. Strong ability to deliver project outcomes within specified time-lines and budget constraints.
13. Excellent communication skills, adaptability, and the capacity to work autonomously.
14. Proficiency in spoken and written English. Proficiency in German is a plus.
