Operating at the intersection of energy and technology, they are expanding into Germany — Europe’s largest and most strategic energy market.
We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to lead our market entry from a commercial perspective — building pipeline, developing relationships, and closing deals in the German energy market.
This is a highly hands-on role, focused on sales execution and revenue generation, rather than broad strategic or administrative country management.
You will work closely with central teams (product, technical, leadership), while taking full ownership of commercial activities in Germany .
Success in this role will come from your ability to leverage your network, build trust with decision-makers, and convert opportunities into signed contracts .
What you´ll Do
Business Development & Sales Execution
- Drive new business development in Germany, from prospecting to deal closure
- Build and manage a strong commercial pipeline with clear reporting and forecasting
- Identify and engage high-value clients across industrial, commercial, and energy sectors
- Lead complex sales cycles, including negotiations and contract closing
- Achieve and exceed revenue targets
Market Entry & Growth
- Support execution of the market entry strategy from a commercial standpoint
- Identify priority segments, use cases, and partners
- Provide market feedback to internal teams to refine positioning and offering
Relationships & Partnerships
- Leverage and expand your existing network in the German energy ecosystem
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, including:
- - Industrial and commercial energy users
- - Energy service companies (ESCOs)
- - Utilities / Stadtwerke
- - Engineering firms and system integrators
- Develop partnerships that accelerate market access
Collaboration
- Work closely with product and technical teams to support client solutions
- Coordinate with marketing and leadership on go-to-market activities
- Represent the company in meetings, events, and industry forums
What You Bring
Required
- Proven experience in B2B sales / business development in the energy sector in Germany
- Strong track record of closing deals and generating revenue
- Existing network in the German energy market (industrial, utilities, ESCOs, integrators, etc.)
- Experience managing full sales cycles for technical or consultative solutions
- Strong commercial mindset with a hands-on, execution-driven approach
- Ability to work independently and drive results with high autonomy
- Fluent in German and English
Preferred
- Experience with energy technology, IoT, or energy management solutions
- Familiarity with energy efficiency, smart metering, or optimization solutions
- Understanding of the German energy market structure and key players
