DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS We invite current students and recent graduates with up to two years of experience to join our immersive data science internship. It'll offer broad exposure to projects involving machine learning and generative AI. You'll be staffed on one of our case teams and do real work interfacing with clients. If successful in the internship, it may lead to an offer to join us as Data Scientist. This is a unique opportunity to work as an intern data scientist at a top strategy consulting firm. WHAT YOULL DO As a Data Science Intern in Bains AI, Insights and Solutions team, you will: Work with fellow data scientists, consulting teams, and clients to understand business problems, translate them into data science projects, and execute Develop and/or implement tools for data acquisition, extraction, transformation, management, and manipulation of large and complex data sets Develop, prototype, test, and deploy machine learning or generative AI solutions on wide-ranging types of data sets and use case archetypes Travel is required (~3 days every other week) This position will be located either in Munich or Berlin ABOUT YOU Masters Degree, PhD in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Econometrics, Business Analytics, or Market Research Last year students or recent graduates with up to 2 years of experience Strong foundation in Mathematics and Statistics Proficiency with data wrangling, visualization and modeling in either R or Python is required Experience in machine learning frameworks and tools (e.g. scikit-learn, Pytorch, etc.) is required Proficiency in SQL is a plus Experience with Generative AI systems is a plus Experience with Git and modern software development workflow is a plus Strong interpersonal and communication skills are pre-requisite for this role Ability to explain and simplify complex technical topics to non-technical audiences A high level of drive and the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment Fluency in German and English is required Our process If this sounds like you,please apply with your CV written in English by 11:59pm CET Sunday, September 28.
