Senior system engineer (f/m/d)

Your Role

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you are directly responsible for the current and future trading infrastructure. You design and implement low latency, highly resilient infrastructure, considering the full infrastructure stack and in-line with development and the trading platform requirements. You report directly into the Head of Trading Infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, deployment, and management of infrastructure systems, including servers, networks, and storage

Design, implement, and maintain cloud and on-premise solutions to ensure scalability and availability

Participation in on-call and out of hours change management (compensated)

Continuously evaluate and improve existing infrastructure to optimize performance, security, and resilience

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uptime and reliability

Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence

Develop and document best practices, standards, and procedures for systems engineering and infrastructure management

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, recommending and implementing new technologies to drive innovation and efficiency

Your Profile

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other equivalent training

7+ years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on infrastructure (cloud and on-premise)

Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

Strong knowledge of networking, virtualization, storage, and security principles

Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Saltstack, Terraform, PowerShell, Python)

Proven experience in designing and maintaining highly available, scalable infrastructure

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Strong communication skills, with a passion for mentoring and collaborating with others
