Current vehicles already feature a wide range of complex driver assistance systems (Advanced Driver Assist Systems). Through the further development and networking of these assistance systems, future generations of vehicles will be able to drive in a highly automated manner initially and ultimately completely autonomously. In addition to these technical developments, IAV GmbH is also constantly working to improve its internal work and development processes so that they can meet the challenges and complexity of future mobility projects. Some of our areas of expertise in the field of driver assistance systems include adaptive cruise control, active pedestrian protection, blind spot detection, parking assistance, light and vision assistance, driver monitoring, emergency braking systems, PreCrash Rear/Front/Side View, lane change assistance, and Car2XSafety. As part of these activities, we are looking for motivated and committed student assistants from various disciplines for an internship or thesis (bachelor's/master's) with the following main areas of activity:
The field of lighting assistants is undergoing a technological transformation. The advent of high-resolution high-beam systems, coupled with the requirements of connected driving, offers an exciting and diverse working environment. We are looking for committed students who want to demonstrate their affinity for technology and advance our young team with ideas and solutions.
Your Tasks:
1. You will familiarize yourself with current and future-oriented activities in the field of lighting assistance.
2. You will prepare the necessary documentation.
3. You will coordinate with internal departments and external testing agencies.
4. You will provide technical support in the creation of advertising material.
Necessary Skills:
5. Advanced studies in automotive engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field of study
6. Interest in automobiles and the development of innovative functions for driver assistance systems
7. Very good German language skills (at least C1 level) and good English language skills (at least B2 level)
Desired Skills:
8. Theoretical expertise in the field of driver assistance systems
9. Practical experience in the design or manufacture of prototype parts
10. Practical experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Python, C programming, or Java
11. High level of commitment and quick comprehension for acquiring new skills
12. Ability to work in a team, commitment, creativity, and willingness to learn
13. Goal-oriented and independent way of working
14. Very good communication skills
