Overview
Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d) in Berlin to join our international tech team and help create one of the fastest-growing companies in the heating market. You will be responsible for building the technical solution for the optimal allocation of our in-house workforce, collaborating with a cross-functional team to deliver a product that manages thermondo’s most valuable asset: 500+ craftspeople for installations and service. The goal is to send the right team to the right place at the right time while ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, engaging in product discovery, planning, and implementing user-focused solutions.
* Take ownership of and lead the development of software solutions.
* Create user-friendly solutions geared toward driving business value. Work on a tool that enables sending the right team to the right place across Germany, hundreds of times a week.
* Establish and uphold engineering standards while advocating for improvements.
* Provide guidance and coaching to team members, including non-technical roles.
Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience developing web applications with any programming language, preferably a JVM language.
* Experience designing and developing high-performance, scalable services (microservices) and knowledge of professional software engineering best practices, clean architecture, coding standards and documentation.
* Understanding and applying design patterns and principles of Object-Oriented Design.
* Hands-on experience with automated tests and CI/CD platforms and building REST APIs.
* Ability to explain differences between programming paradigms: Functional, Procedural, Object-oriented.
* Mentoring and coaching colleagues; agile software development mindset.
* Proficiency in English at a C1 level, as technology teams are primarily English speaking.
