The Role
As Claims Manager, you'll independently manage Financial Lines claims - primarily Cyber and D&O - acting as the go-to expert for brokers, direct clients, and internal colleagues throughout the claims lifecycle. You'll report into the Head of Legal & Claims and work within a small, close-knit legal and claims team.
What you'll be doing:
* Managing Financial Lines claims (Cyber & D&O) end-to-end and on an autonomous basis
* Reviewing coverage positions and preparing actionable recommendations
* Compiling claims documentation and submitting formal loss notifications
* Acting as the primary claims contact for brokers, clients, and colleagues
* Conducting correspondence with insurers, policyholders, brokers, and legal counsel, including settlement negotiations
* Providing legal opinions in cases of disputed or rejected coverage
* Serving as a broader legal resource, particularly on insurance law matters
What You'll Need
* Experience handling Financial Lines claims at a broker, insurer, or law firm
* A solid legal qualification and strong grounding in insurance law
* A structured, solution-oriented approach - comfortable working independently in an agile environment
* Willingness to dig into complex, technical claims scenarios
