The Opportunity
This position works out of our Wiesbaden site in the Abbott Diabetes Care - Abbott GmbH. We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology
The role leads financial processes such as LBE planning cycles, month end reporting, Weekly Sales Flashes and ensuring accurate and timely submissions. As Sr. Finance Manager this responsibility goes well beyond the technical consolidation of figures. It requires a true finance business partnering with commercial operations teams at the International HQ and supporting analysis requests by those teams.
Your Tasks:
 * Partner with the VP International Commercial Operations and regional controllers to deliver actionable insights and strategic guidance
 * Lead the planning, forecasting, and reporting cycles (LBE, month-end, weekly sales flashes) with precision and agility
 * Own and evolve the FreeStyle Libre commercial model, including forecasting, analysis, and consolidation
 * Analyze regional and country performance, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency
 * Provide consultative support to regional and country controllers, sharing best practices and enhancing forecasting capabilities
 * Prepare and present monthly financial results to senior stakeholders, including division finance, regional VPs, and GMs
 * Coach and develop the HQ FP&A team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
 * Lead cross-functional budgeting and planning processes, ensuring alignment across EMEA HQ and area finance teams
 * Drive gross margin improvement initiatives across EMEA, collaborating with division finance and identifying cost-saving opportunities
Your Qualification:
 * Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting or related discipline. Masters degree in business or finance preferred. ACCA, CPA, or CIMA membership
 * A minimum of 10 years of progressive finance/accounting experience
 * Proven ability to create and to present Executive level LBE/CDR power points
 * Proven track of record as a country/business unit controller with managerial responsibility
 * Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive financial strategy
 * Deep understanding of divisional financial processes and international business dynamics
 * Must have excellent system skills, aptitude and experience, especially with multi-dimensional reporting systems (e.g. Dodeca, Essbase), SAP, HFM, Excel and Power Point
 * Strong analytical skills as well as critical thinking skills to identify and share business implications of financial results
 * Fluent in English - fluency in a second language a plus
