Pre‑Sales Lead Telefonica & Mission Critical Networks Germany (M/F/D) We are looking for a Pre‑Sales Lead for Telefonica and Mission Critical Networks customers within the Customer Unit (CU) North Europe, who will report to the Head of Networks for Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, and Slovakia. Key responsibilities Support the KAM (Key Account Manager) with product, services and solution expertise embracing the whole Networks portfolio on different levels in pre‑sales and solution design Position Ericsson as a thought and technology leader Secure that customer feedback is shared with R&D organization This role is critical in ensuring the effective and seamless execution of Networks solutions, delivering exceptional customer outcomes, and demonstrating technical leadership in presales engagements. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both technical presales and services delivery, with a focus on Networks strategies that drive measurable value for customers. What will you do Position Ericsson as technology leader. Provide sales support expertise, contribute to knowledge sharing. Communicate and discuss Ericsson’s technology strategy and vision with customer CTO/CIO and direct reports. Ensure that the customer CTO/CIO and organizations know about the latest technology solutions from Ericsson and their advantages relative to alternatives. Ensure the customer continuously has a good understanding of Ericsson’s technology and capabilities to build customer solutions. Develop customer advocates to position Ericsson as domain partner. Develop close technical cooperation by collaborative initiatives around technology development between customer and Ericsson R&D. Conduct in‑depth technical discussions with customer. Work with Sales team to develop and build value argumentation. Act as Subject Matter Expert in specific technologies, products/service, or solutions. Strengthen the cooperation with the relevant BA (Business Area) stakeholders; to drive product requirements, NPI and Sales Programs. Support CSR or Solution Architects in specific technical issues. Act as a champion in understanding the market for selected deals. Analyze and present the offering market situation and competition. Share knowledge and best practice in internal and external fora. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance within the Customer Unit. Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to provide pre‑sales technical support, ensuring that client needs are clearly understood and translated into actionable Networks solutions. Conduct technical workshops and presentations to prospective clients, addressing Networks requirements, technical challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Oversee the successful delivery of Networks portfolio, ensuring alignment with client objectives and expectations. Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on NMS (Network and Managed Services) solutions and strategies. Work closely with clients to understand their business goals and challenges, helping to design solutions that drive performance improvements and cost savings. Develop and execute strategies for expanding the portfolio of Networks with new and existing clients. Position the company as a leader in the Networks portfolio by sharing expertise and thought leadership in the industry. You will bring Creates clarity (decision making, delegation, strategic leadership, impact & influence, active listening, emotional intelligence). Develops people (constructive feedback, coaching, empathetic, employee motivation). Delivers results (accountability, performance review, leading & developing high performing teams, adaptability, resilience & perseverance, team motivation). Strong Pre‑Sales experience and Service Delivery business understanding. A strong technical background in telecommunications technologies and systems with a continuous learning attitude to stay current and adaptable with all technological and legislation advances. Customer Intimacy. Consultative Selling Skills, fluent across engagement models – techno‑commercial product engagement, Services engagement. Experienced in supporting and participating in pre‑sales and commercial engagements with customers. Ericsson Networks portfolio knowledge across both Services and Products embracing the whole Networks scope. Health & Safety operational processes, relevant legal requirements. Financial understanding, presentation, communication, and influence skills. Experiences At least 5 to 10 years of experience in technical presales. Strong technical expertise in Networks portfolio, tools, and technologies, along with a deep understanding of service delivery processes. Experience designing large‑scale optimization solutions in complex environments. Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decision‑makers and stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical and problem‐solving capabilities, with a focus on driving business results for clients. Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams and manage competing priorities effectively.
