We are seeking a senior professional to shape the future of our organization. As part of a global team, this role is based within our corporate R&D in Mainz.
This position is part of a development program tailored for potential candidates aiming to advance to new roles within 3 to 5 years through self-driven growth. The program offers insights into various business areas, opportunities for networking, and visibility at top management level.

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities adjacent to our existing business, identifying strategic search fields for new business opportunities, analyzing potential markets and applications, and leading complex international projects with demanding technological concepts.
Key Responsibilities
* Conceptual development (business / sales / implementation models) for selected applications
* Drafting of purposeful business plans for subsequent decision-making and operative implementation
* Proactive cooperation with internal functional units, potential customers, and external partners
* Transfer of business ideas into business units and support in the development of strategies and concepts for the marketing and sales of new products
Requirements
* Excellent honors degree in business management/science/materials or business administration and engineering, preferably with PhD, alternatively University degree in a technical/natural science field with a doctorate and additional business training
* Strong business acumen paired with deep technological understanding
* Several years of international experience in business/new business development department of a technology-focused company
* Comprehensive experience in the compilation, evaluation, and interpretation of market analysis
* Experience in the monitoring of markets/competitors and identification of necessary actions
* Knowledge of technological trends in relevant markets and identification of innovative product ideas and business areas
* Proven track record of successful cooperation in international projects as a member of a cross-functional team, ideally project management experience
* Fluent business English (written and spoken), knowledge of other languages, and willingness to travel abroad
