OverviewEMEA PR Manager, Germany at Okta – Okta is seeking an experienced and highly motivated PR Manager to join our international PR team in Germany. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communications campaigns to increase Okta's brand awareness and visibility within the German market. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on communications, and strong collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.What you'll be doingDevelop and execute a strategic public relations campaign tailored to the German market, spanning earned, owned, and paid media.Build and maintain strong relationships with key media, journalists, and influencers in Germany.Elevate executive thought leadership profiles for top executives.Secure participation from local customers and partners in a variety of PR activities.Craft compelling local narratives and executive thought leadership platforms.Build executive profiles via earned, owned, and paid media.Collaborate with the global corporate communications team and external agencies to ensure consistent messaging and a unified brand voice.Monitor media coverage trends (proactive & reactive) and analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns to inform future strategies.Who you areProven experience (5+ years) in a technology public relations or corporate communications role, preferably within the cybersecurity or SaaS industry.Strong understanding of the German media landscape and established relationships with influential reporters, spanning technology trade, business press, and broadcast media.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, compelling, and distinctive content for various audiences.Proficiency with digital storytelling and social media.A self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, capable of managing multiple high-profile projects simultaneously.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Experience with video filming/editing and crisis communications/reputation management is a plus.Ability to spend 2+ days a week in the Okta Munich office to build relationships with the local team, customers, and partners.What you can look forward toAmazing BenefitsMaking Social ImpactDeveloping Talent and Fostering Connection + Community at OktaOkta cultivates a dynamic work environment, providing the best tools, technology and benefits to empower our employees to work productively in a setting that best and uniquely suits their needs.
