Overview
We are looking for a commercial, customer-facing leader to build and scale our Salesforce Professional Services function across North America and Europe. This is not a traditional delivery management role - we’re looking for someone who thrives in early-stage, high-growth environments and can shape the PS function into a revenue-generating, scalable part of our business.
You’ll lead Professional Services as a strategic partner to Sales and Engineering, while also stepping in as a consultant or architect on high-value client engagements to ensure impact and credibility.
The ideal candidate combines strong delivery discipline with commercial acumen, experience managing hybrid teams (FTEs, contractors, partners), and the ability to drive both operational excellence and client expansion.
Responsibilities
* Lead and scale a high-performing PS team across client engagements
* Commercial accountability (P&L performance)
* Delivery health and customer success metrics (CSAT, margin, utilisation)
* Activate and evolve our internal delivery methodology and reusable assets, turning IP into leverage
* Provide thought leadership and expert guidance to clients, helping them address complex business challenges and achieve their goals
* Represent PS in commercial conversations and build credibility with clients
* Recruit and develop a team of consultants, architects and delivery leads, with an emphasis on autonomy, accountability, and execution
* Act as a force multiplier - identifying opportunities, positioning services, and helping win and expand accounts
* Partner closely with sales, pre-sales and engineering teams to influence how we go to market and deliver value
* Act as a billable consultant/architect/delivery lead (based on your skillset) on key strategic engagements (~50%)
* Travel 25–50% as needed to support key clients and build trusted relationships on the ground.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Requirements:
* Proven experience building or scaling a services organisation
* Experience working for a Salesforce SI or as part of Salesforce’s internal PS team
* Deep Salesforce knowledge - you worked as a consultant, business analyst or architect in the past
* Commercial fluency: understands PS economics, knows how to grow revenue while maintaining delivery quality
* Demonstrated ability to translate strategic business needs into practical consulting outcomes that unlock billable value, recurring revenue streams, and adoption growth
* Strong leadership and coaching skills - able to develop individuals and build an accountable, values-led team
* Experience working in fast-paced, high-change environments; thrives on ownership and clarity of outcomes
* Strategic thinker with operational discipline - capable of thinking ahead while keeping the trains running
* Experience in leading technical and business workshops
* Fluent English speaker with excellent communication skills and the ability to actively listen, create, and sell a vision to inspire others
* Ability to create and deliver compelling customer-facing presentations and demos
* Experience in building and maintaining long-term trusted relationships
* Fast learner, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities
* Strong industry knowledge in at least one of the following: high tech, TTH (transportation, travel & hospitality), HLS (health and life sciences) or financial services (banking, insurance, wealth and asset management)
* Must be committed to personal development and maintaining relevance, both in industry trends and technology solutions
Desirable:
* Salesforce certification(s) are not mandatory but preferred (Platform App Builder, Developer I and II, Sharing and Visibility Architect, Data Architect, Application Architect, Integration Architect, Identity and Access Management Architect, Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect, System Architect, Marketing Cloud Developer, Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, and any of the Consultant certifications)
* MBA, in addition to formal technical education
* Familiarity with hybrid cloud, integrations, and technical delivery in multi-platform environments
* Interest in data and AI with some hands-on experience related to Data Cloud and Agentforce
* Experience with one of the following: MuleSoft, Heroku, Marketing Cloud, AWS
