Littelfuse, a global leader in power semiconductor products, is seeking a Power Semiconductor Application Engineer (f/m/d) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, verification, and built-up of evaluation boards, reference designs, and demonstrators for our power semiconductor products.
About the job:
1. Dimensioning of electrical, mechanical, and thermal aspects of power semiconductor applications.
2. Build-up of evaluation boards, reference designs, and demonstrators, including PCB design, mechanical construction, and lab verification (electrical and thermal).
3. Create technical content based on measurements, including application notes, white papers, presentations, articles, and conference papers.
4. Collaborate with global application engineering teams, product lines, and sales/FAE teams.
About you:
5. Bachelor’s degree in Power Electronics Engineering.
6. 2-3 years’ experience in the power semiconductor industry or in the development of power semiconductor applications.
7. Hands-on lab experience with power semiconductor applications.
8. Strong knowledge of power semiconductor physics (thyristors, MOSFETs, diodes, IGBTs) and power electronics (topologies, snubber circuits, driver circuits, protection functions, control schemes, application-specific knowledge, international standards).
9. Experience with simulations, PCB design, electrical measurements, design verification, and mechanical design of evaluation boards, reference designs, and demonstrators.
10. Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
11. Fluent in English (written and spoken); German is a plus.
12. Team player with ability to work across international teams and stakeholders
