Network Security Expert
Location: Frankfurt
Our client is seeking a Network Security Expert. In this role you will be key in shaping and implementing a comprehensive network protection strategy within a complex, global IT environment.
Responsibilities:
* Designing, implementing, and advancing the organisation’s network security framework to ensure long-term resilience and compliance.
* Developing binding standards such as processes, rules, and guidelines for network security in line with technical, legal, and regulatory requirements.
* Establishing consistent terminology and documentation to improve clarity and uniformity across the organisation.
* Reviewing and authorising access requests, including external resources (e.g., downloads, external shares), to maintain high security standards.
* Creating solutions for sophisticated network security infrastructures, incorporating strategic, regulatory, technical, and economic considerations (e.g., cost, availability, operational efficiency).
Requirements:
* A completed university degree (e.g. computer science, information systems, IT security) or equivalent vocational training with relevant professional experience.
* Experience in designing and implementing complex network security architectures.
* Deep technical knowledge in areas such as DDoS mitigation, Proxy and reverse proxy systems, Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).
* Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
* Proficiency in both German and English, written and spoken, for effective interaction with international teams and partners.
