Your responsibilities
Join our Digital Finance & Information Excellence team, where we digitize Accounting and Financial Controlling. Our mission is to build a cutting-edge financial organization by integrating advanced technology with the expertise of related departments—be a part of this transformative journey!
* Improve processes and operations in corporate finance (i.e. Accounting and Controlling) through data-driven innovation
* Design and develop scalable prototypes and proof-of-concepts for data-driven solutions with transactional data, Financial statements or KPIs as well as written information and graphs
* Apply advanced analytics, machine learning and NLP (including LLMs) methods to support decision-making in ad hoc analysis as well as cross-departmental projects
* Collaborate with IT teams, cloud engineers, and business stakeholders to implement the solution
* Accompany the full lifecycle of data science initiatives – from ideation to go-live, in a MS Azure, Snowflake or Databricks environment
* Empower colleagues by training them in Data Science and AI fundamentals
* Help business teams leverage advanced tools in their daily operations
* Engage with Uniper’s growing AI and digitization community
Your profile
* Several years of experience in programming, statistical modeling, machine learning or NLP using Python, R, and SQL
* Strong expertise in general machine learning or Natural language processing
* Experience with LLMs in regulatory tasks is a plus
* Experience in creating user facing frontends for quantitative tasks is an advantage
* Ability to simplify complex topics and communicate them effectively
* Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Snowflake and BI tools
* Experience in accounting or financial controlling (e.g. with SAP or Tagetik) is a plus
* Excellent customer orientation with patience and empathy
* Interest in transforming corporate processes through technology and analytics
* Degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Software/Financial Engineering, or a related quantitative field
* Fluent in English; German proficiency is a plus
