Job Summary: Analyzes and defines systems requirements. Performs one or more of the following or related activities: 1) Analyzes and evaluates major antiterrorism/force protection program and user requirements; 2) Defines systems objectives and prepares system design specifications; 3) Identifies alternative approaches and selects appropriate methodologies based on strategic doctrinal and policy guidance. Essential Functions : Conducts assessments on unit and installation vulnerability to both conventional and asymmetric methods of attack Receives, analyzes, and disseminates all-source intelligence threat information and prepares threat estimates Provides threat analysis for commanders and recommends courses of action to mitigate and counter current and future threats Is responsible for force protection education and training, processes, procedures, and readiness Assists in the production of all-source intelligence products to support overall intelligence objectives Serves as a primary member of the USAFE Threat Working Group (TWG), which is an Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) advisory body for all installations Provides expertise in a wide range of military and civil readiness and disaster preparedness activities, including assessments of an installation’s ability to execute terrorism consequence management plans and terrorism incident response activities Examines and evaluates medical capabilities and health factors affecting an installations force protection readiness such as: analyze the currency of water system vulnerabilities and testing, examine food system vulnerabilities, assess adequacy of off-installation non-law enforcement support (emergency services, and health), analyze NBC and radiological detection systems, plus related preparedness and analysis functions Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) to assess a variety of installation readiness plans to include: weapons of mass destruction (WMD), mass casualties plans, explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), hazardous materials (HAZMAT), mass notification and recall, explosive ordnance clearance (EOC) operations, crisis management planning, force protection condition (FPCON) implementation, and incident response teams.
