We are currently hiring on behalf of a well-established financial institution based in Frankfurt, known for its specialized expertise in international credit risk management and export financing.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the identification, assessment, and strategic management of distressed and high-risk credit exposures.
* Develop tailored restructuring strategies and evaluate borrower recovery potential using forward-looking financial modeling.
* Review and interpret financial statements, restructuring plans, and legal documentation to support decision-making.
* Make independent credit recommendations and decisions within delegated authority, including provisioning assessments.
* Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory standards, including regular reporting to senior stakeholders.
* Engage in negotiations with clients and external partners to structure viable recovery or restructuring solutions.
* Contribute to internal projects aimed at enhancing risk frameworks, digital tools, and policy development.
Profile
* Academic background in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in credit risk, restructuring, or special situations within a financial institution.
* Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to credit risk and loan recovery in Germany.
* Proficiency in financial reporting standards (IFRS, HGB, US-GAAP) and cash flow analysis.
* Familiarity with export credit agency (ECA) financing is advantageous.
* Analytical mindset with strong judgment and decision-making capabilities.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
* Self-driven, structured, and comfortable working in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
