Your role The advertised position is in the Design &Customer Experience team and offers the opportunity to work with a diverse and international group of innovators, on a variety of products and innovation horizons. We are looking for a Experience Designer (m / f / d) with profound expertise in User Interface Design and Design Systems to take-over a central role in the Design Team responsible for quality and consistency of Deutsche Telekom´s digital touchpoints.
You will contribute to:
1. Rollout and implementation of a new UI Design language within various digital touchpoints
2. Conducting Design critiques and giving Design Direction to teams on the implementation of our UI Design language
3. Further develop Deutsche Telekoms UI Design language and continuously update components and guidelines to match latest developments
4. Collaborate with other disciplines to improve the UI &UX Design for all Deutsche Telekom digital touchpoints
5. Collaborate with our Design Systems Team to translate Design requirements into components for various platforms, frameworks and touchpoints
6. Identify customer insights and translate customers perspective into tangible experience concepts and solutions
7. Create inclusive user experience for digital customer touchpoints like mobile apps, web portals, smart TVs, wearables, conversational interfaces, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards (e.g: WCAG 2.2 AA)
8. Improve user experience end-to-end along customer journeys, ensuring usability for all, including people with disabilities
9. Craft experience prototypes of various fidelity levels
10. Validate user experience concepts with customers
11. Provide customer-centric storytelling and solutions for business decisions
12. Explore and transfer newest technologies into experience solutions and keep the team ahead of time
13. Share knowledge and skills and help colleagues and team to grow
Your profile The advertised position requires a selected set of experience and skills:
14. Bachelor and Masters degree in design (e.g. user experience design, interaction design) and 6+ years of work experience in user experience design and a strong foundation in accessibility (AX) design principles
15. Fluent in English
16. Very strong UI and Visual Design skills
17. Expertise in the creation of Design Languages, Visual Identities and the documentation in Design Systems and guidelines
18. Ability to give specific and actionable feedback and design guidance
19. Digital concept and solution expert with profound practice of crafting digital User Experiences for various customer touchpoints and product-/service categories
20. Expert in creation, structure and usage of accessible design systems that are capable to serve enterprise needs
21. Profound understanding of Atomic Desing and/or other systemic design approaches
22. Basic knowledge of Frontend development technologies (CSS, JS, HTML)
23. Additional expertise in UI design (visual design, graphic design)
24. Method expert for user experience and interaction design related activities, from early exploration to realization
25. Domain expert with experience of applying user-centric and accessibility-focused design activities along the innovation development process in agile and interdisciplinary projects
26. Communicator who supports decision makers to challenge conventional practices and to instill customer perspective in decision-making processes
27. Ability to convey messages across neighboring domains and drive customer focused decisions within the organization
28. Storyteller with the ability of visualizing ideas and solutions, communicate experience strategies and encourage collaboration
