Our client, a major leader in the offshore wind industry, are currently hiring for an experienced Logistics Engineer to be based in Hamburg office and support safe offshore operations at one of their newest wind projects in the Netherlands.
Description
As the Logistics Engineer, you will be responsible for the organisation and management of all project logistics for the offshore windfarm. You will be based out of the Hamburg office on a hybrid basis, with travel to site location (port) in the Netherlands, as and when required by the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the “Marine Logistics and Construction Manager” during the construction of the Offshore Windfarm.
Organisation and management of project logistics (e.g. arranging transports or storage of components, shipments between locations, incl. all notifications) using project agency or other logistics provider as requested by the project.
Support, organisation and management of project customs process during construction (single point of contract within the project), providing package support to collect relevant customs information, close alignment and management of customs process with appointed customs agent
Coordination of PPE process for project (ordering, provision, tracking, inspection & repair, collection for return, etc.)
Client Rep Support on project level
Setting up of project documentation (reporting, RAMS, procedures, check lists, etc.)
Tendering of project service
Key Requirements:
Organization and accompaniment of offshore (onshore) campaigns
Offshore work support (back-office or in port)
Project Management
HSE
Base port operation
Customs process for offshore wind farms (construction phase), sound knowledge of customs regulations
Contract Management
English as working language
Site visits, business travels and attendance of meetings as requested by the project.
To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate previous experience in the offshore wind as a Logistics Engineer, work freelance and have right to work in Europe.
