About the Role
We are seeking a Manufacturing Site Support Engineer to join our aerospace team for a mission with a minimum duration of 1 year. This role involves providing first-line operational and functional support for shop floor applications in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The position is based on-site in Hamburg (Germany) and reports to the Plant Lead.
Job Description
* Monitor and resolve daily incidents related to shop floor applications
* Collaborate with IT and business users to troubleshoot functional issues
* Coordinate with MES, CAD/CAM, Infrastructure, Network, and third-party vendors to resolve line-side IT and system issues
* Maintain SLA commitments and ensure consistent quality of service
* Follow ITIL-based service management processes (Incident, Change, Capacity, Problem Management, etc.)
* Prepare operational updates and reports for stakeholders
* Participate in knowledge sharing, transitions, and shift rotations as per the operating model
* Support communications among suppliers, OEMs, and internal business stakeholders
* Assist in training small groups of end users and super users when needed
Skills Required
* Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the aerospace sector
* Hands-on knowledge of shop floor systems and IT endpoints (e.g. barcode scanners, printers, MRTs)
* Ability to check application/system health and perform basic troubleshooting
* Basic knowledge of Windows servers and computer hardware
* Strong stakeholder and cross-functional team coordination skills
* Familiarity with legacy manufacturing systems, MES, SAP, and ServiceNow
* Flexible to work in shifts and support major incidents as needed
* Strong communication skills in both English and German
* Proactive, team-oriented, and adaptable in multicultural settings
