Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced
Mechanical Commissioning Engineer
to join our team on a
data centre project in Frankfurt
. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems commissioning within mission-critical environments, including HVAC, chilled water systems, CRAC/CRAH units, and BMS integration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, execute, and document the commissioning of mechanical systems, including:
* HVAC (air handling, ventilation, cooling)
* Chillers and chilled water systems
* CRAC/CRAH units
* Pumps, pipework, and valves
* Building Management Systems (BMS)
* Review and verify installation against design drawings and specifications
* Develop and implement
commissioning test procedures (CTPs)
and method statements
* Lead system start-ups, functional testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems
* Interface with construction, design, QA/QC, and client teams to resolve issues
* Manage commissioning schedules, tracking progress and reporting to stakeholders
* Ensure all commissioning activities are carried out in line with health & safety standards
* Participate in the integrated systems testing (IST) and final handover to client
* Maintain detailed records of test results, issues, and resolutions
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer, ideally on
data centre or critical infrastructure
projects
* In-depth understanding of HVAC and mechanical systems relevant to data centres
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and O&M documentation
* Experience working to international commissioning standards (ASHRAE, CIBSE, etc.)
* Strong organizational and reporting skills
* Right to work in Germany or ability to travel within the EU
