In our team you will work on projectsfor hardware on-board security FPGA-based solutions, computer-vision acceleration and very high-speed new space network protocols.
Your main tasks will be:
1. FPGA architectures; researching FPGA concepts applicable to the Space Domain.
2. FPGA code implementation (VHDL), including implementation of interfaces and protocols in FPGA, and HW acceleration as co-processing avionics of satellites, spacecraft, or their onboard instruments.
3. SW/HW co-design.
4. Budget sizing and cost estimation.
5. HW/SW implementation for space applications, including documentation, verification/validation, and certification of embedded hardware/software (mainly based on FPGA, SoC, and FPGA + microprocessor).
6. Defining architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for operational or simulated space hardware/software systems.
7. Technical support for VHDL implementations, and assistance in selecting the most adequate FPGA and/or microprocessor platforms for space applications (mostly radiation-tolerant devices).
8. Tailoring and deployment of processes, tools, and metrics.
