The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design and implement enterprise network infrastructure supporting USAFRICOM mission requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong engineering skills with expertise in software-defined networking, including SD-LAN and SD-WAN technologies, Cisco routing and switching platforms, while maintaining the highest standards of security and operational excellence in a classified environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Engineering & Requirements Management
2. Collaborate with project teams to gather network requirements and develop technical solutions for mission-critical infrastructure
3. Author detailed engineering design documents, implementation plans, and technical specifications for network projects
4. Lead technical reviews and provide recommendations to CACI and government stakeholders
5. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including security, systems, and program management throughout project lifecycle
6. Network Infrastructure Design & Implementation
7. Design and deploy Cisco-based routing and switching solutions for LAN, WAN, and data center environments
8. Implement software-defined networking solutions including Cisco ACI fabric and SD-LAN/SD-WAN technologies
9. Plan and execute network capacity upgrades and technology refresh projects
10. Provide tier 2/3 escalation support for network-related incidents affecting mission operations
Required Qualifications:
11. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR equivalent work experience
12. Active Secret security clearance required
13. Minimum 3+ years hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies
14. Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS/IOS-XE/Nexus configuration and troubleshooting
15. Knowledge of DoD networking standards and STIG compliance preferred
16. Preferred Qualifications
17. Strong engineering background with experience writing technical design documents and implementation plans
18. Experience working with project teams in structured engineering environments
19. CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Data Center, or equivalent Cisco certification preferred
20. Software-defined networking experience (SD-LAN, SD-WAN)
21. Cisco ACI experience

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$82,700 - 173,900 USD
