Role Overview
The Global Tax Principal leads and owns the global tax function, ensuring our international growth is supported by a robust, efficient, and compliant tax framework. You will drive continuous improvement across tax operations, manage day‑to‑day compliance, and lead transfer pricing projects in collaboration with the Chemnitz‑based finance team and global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Own the Global Compliance Program: Work with Group Finance and external advisors to ensure timely completion of all tax filings.
* Lead Audit Defense: Support Group Finance in delivering year‑end tax disclosures, manage queries, and uphold agreed timelines.
* Manage Local Audits: Assist the Chemnitz finance team with local tax audits and transfer pricing audits as required.
* Rationalize Advisory: Oversee tax compliance activities and challenge advisory spend to balance in‑sourcing and outsourcing.
* Lead Global Transfer Pricing Lifecycle and benchmarking to ensure arm’s‑length compliance across all legal entities.
* Maintain up‑to‑date intercompany agreements and review the tax footprint of key hubs to optimize policies.
* Review risk and role of specific entities to align TP policies with evolving business roles.
* Simplify intercompany processes and unwind large balances.
* Act as a strategic business partner: review tax clauses in sales contracts, support expansion plans, and advise on legal entity setup.

Required Qualifications
* Proven international tax experience managing global compliance, transfer pricing, and audits.
* Analytical and proactive mindset, owning projects from idea to execution.
* Commercial partnership skill: balance technical tax requirements with supporting sales growth.
* Excellent communication and influence, able to explain complex tax concepts to non‑tax stakeholders.
* Adaptability in dynamic environments, comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving outcomes.
* Fluency in English; proficiency in German is a nice‑to‑have.
