My client who are one of the leading companies in Hydraulic systems are looking for an experienced Cyber security Manager to bring their expertise into the companies embedded software projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate across software development projects to embed security from the ground up—covering embedded platforms, telematics, and IoT systems.
* Ensure alignment with regulatory and industry standards, including ISO 21434 and the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) 2014/53/EU.
* Act as the go-to expert for all things cyber security, guiding multidisciplinary teams through risk identification and mitigation.
* Conduct threat modelling and perform TARA (Threat Analysis & Risk Assessment) throughout the software lifecycle.
* Define, document, and evolve system-level security requirements and frameworks.
* Analyse security incidents and vulnerabilities targeting control systems in mobile machinery and transport vehicles.
* Lead internal knowledge sharing and build awareness of cyber security standards and best practices across teams.
Qualifications:
* A degree in a technical field (Master’s/Diplom), ideally focused on software development or computer engineering.
* Proven experience in developing or securing software systems, with a strong preference for experience in automotive or mobility technology.
* Familiarity with cyber security compliance frameworks, especially ISO 21434 and UNECE R155.
* Solid grasp of encryption, access management, and other critical cyber security mechanisms.
* Awareness of current attack vectors in the connected vehicle and industrial equipment landscape.
* Knowledge of communication protocols like CAN, TCP/IP, and Ethernet is beneficial.
* A self-driven approach and the ability to communicate complex topics clearly in both German and/or English.
