Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
* Strategic Leadership & Team Development: Lead the central architecture function for Sales, Marketing, and Business Intelligence & Analytics domain while building, coaching, and scaling a team of 5–10 architects to foster a strong community and develop future talent.
* Target Architecture & Roadmap Definition: Define and drive target domain architectures, standards, and roadmaps that translate business strategy into actionable decisions, balancing rapid value delivery with long‑term scalability and resilience.
* Product Operating Model (POM) Transformation: Drive the transition to a Product Operating Model by reshaping governance, collaboration models, and architecture roles to enable greater decoupling, autonomy, and reduced dependencies for product teams.
* Modernization & Technical Excellence: Champion modern architectural principles (API‑first, composable architectures, microservices, MACH patterns) and lead application rationalization efforts to simplify landscapes, ensuring robust interoperability across cloud and on‑premise environments.
* Agile & SAFe Enablement: Support scalable delivery within a SAFe/ART environment by aligning architecture work with Agile Release Trains, facilitating cross‑team alignment, and ensuring conformance with enterprise standards and non‑functional requirements.
* Governance & Decision Management: Establish and moderate architecture governance bodies to assess complex epics, resolve conflicts, and ensure architectural consistency while balancing pragmatism with quality across global operations.
* AI & Innovation Integration: Identify and enable secure, business‑value‑driven AI capabilities (e.g., personalization, sales support, insights) and emerging tech trends to enhance customer engagement and decision‑making processes.
* Global Alignment & Collaboration: Provide strong matrix leadership to align domain execution with Enterprise and Business Architecture, especially in complex transformation settings with competing priorities, ensuring global scalability, data privacy compliance, and effective knowledge sharing across distributed teams.
Qualifications and Skills
* Education & Experience: You hold a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and bring 10+ years of experience in IT architecture, digital transformation, or strategic leadership within an international enterprise.
* Leadership & Team Building: You have a proven track record of building and leading expert architecture teams, developing talent, and driving alignment within complex global matrix organizations.
* Transformation & Change Management: You possess a strong history of leading large‑scale transformations, specifically guiding organizations through the evolution toward Product Operating Models (POM) and product‑centric delivery structures.
* Stakeholder Influence & Governance: You excel at influencing without direct authority, moderating conflicts, facilitating decisions, and aligning diverse stakeholders across business and IT in high‑priority environments.
* Agile & Framework Expertise: You have hands‑on experience with large‑scale transformation programs using frameworks like SAFe, Agile Release Trains (ART), and agile methodologies to support scalable delivery.
* Domain & Technical Specialization: You hold deep expertise in Customer Experience Platforms, CRM, Sales/Marketing landscapes, or BI/Analytics, with strong knowledge of modern patterns (API‑first, microservices, composable architectures) and enterprise integration.
* Strategic Architecture & AI: You demonstrate proficiency in target architecture development, governance, and application portfolio evolution, with beneficial exposure to AI‑enabled business capabilities and standard frameworks like TOGAF or arc42.
* Communication & Tools: You communicate effectively from expert technical details to senior management strategy, are fluent in English (German is a plus), and have familiarity with key platforms such as Salesforce, Adobe, Azure, and Power BI.
