Our team develops AI-based vehicle functions for the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant. We are building a proof-of-concept for agentic AI systems that enable intelligent orchestration, contextual reasoning, and adaptive in-car experiences. As part of our international team, you will contribute to designing and implementing innovative AI modules in a vehicle prototype environment.
What awaits you?
1. You will support the development and prototyping of agent-based AI systems using state-of-the-art large language models.
2. Furthermore, you help design and implement orchestration logic connecting AI agents with structured tools and data sources.
3. In addition, you contribute to integrating and testing AI services in a cloud-based prototype environment (AWS).
4. Moreover, you assist in exploring and evaluating agent communication patterns (e.g., MCP, A2A) and their practical applicability.
5. You will also support evaluating reasoning quality, tool selection behavior, and system performance.
6. Dynamic and challenging tasks in an agile setup requiring structured thinking and hands-on implementation.
What should you bring along?
7. Studies in computer science, artificial intelligence, software engineering, robotics or a related field at Master's level.
8. Practical experience with AWS, especially Bedrock, Lambda, and API Gateway.
9. Strong programming skills in Python and experience with REST APIs and backend services.
10. Experience building or experimenting with LLM-based or agentic AI systems, including tool use, prompt design, and multi-step reasoning.
11. Understanding of agent communication concepts such as MCP and A2A.
12. Business-fluent English skills; German skills are an advantage.
