Objective The objective of this mission is to provide our client, a prestigious financial institution, with a wide range of services in the area of Data Governance. The Data Governance (DG) Framework of our client defines six DG focus areas: (1) principles and policies, (2) leadership and communication, (3) quality management, (4) metadata management, (5) master data management and (6) privacy and security. All six areas together make the House of Data Governance. In order to increase the maturity, the consultant will focus on fundamental constructs of Data Governance and their upgrade. Mission The Consultant will be responsible for providing the following services: Review and update the Data Governance Framework, including governance principles, roles, decision rights and supporting artefacts Review and update the Data Management Strategy, including target operating model, roadmap and prioritized initiatives (short to medium term) Maintain, update and enhance the Data Catalogue, including metadata quality improvements and coordination with business stakeholders and data owners Support the definition and communication of modern best practices in data governance and data management, including AI governance practices, and contribute to adoption through guidance and enablement materials Support the definition and communication of modern best practices in data governance and data management, including AI governance practices, and contribute to adoption through guidance and enablement materials Perform additional ad-hoc data governance tasks as requested by the client Deliverables The Consultant will be responsible for providing the following deliverables: Update version(s) of the Data Governance Framework (including updated governance principles, roles and responsibilities, processes and supporting templates, as applicable) Update version(s) of the Data Management Strategy, including a short- to medium-term roadmap of initiatives and priorities Implement updates to the Data Catalogue (e.g., added/updated entries and metadata improvements), including evidence of alignment with relevant business stakeholders (e.g., agreed changes and confirmations) Communication and enablement materials for the data champions group (e.g., presentations, guidance notes and/or briefing sessions) covering best practices and modern concepts in data governance and data management Advice on AI governance approaches and the selection or use of modern data governance tools (as requested by the client), including recommendations and considerations Skills The Consultant has the following experience: Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in similar assignments Practical experience with Data Governance methods, tools, and techniques Experience in developing Data Governance Framework, Strategy, Data Governance policies and processes Experience in developing and improving the data catalogue Solid understanding of AI application and governance in the modern data landscape Experience in project management and coordination tasks Excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft Office and SharePoint Knowledge of internationally recognized best practices in data governance (e.g. DAMA-DMBOK) Knowledge of commonly used Data Governance software tools and applications Knowledge of MS purview would be an advantage Previous work experience with EU institutions or international organizations would be an advantage Soft skills Ability to work independently Result driven Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to find consensus and combine different views Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written Contact & information Part-time work (3 days per week) Hybrid mode (90% offsite) and up to 10% onsite (maximum 2 days per month onsite) Please send your CV and cover letter Lux-Advisory is a company specialized in project management & finance.
